Neill T. ("Tailor") McNeill

Note: Neill T. McNeill was a soldier in War of 1812 in the local militia, and served from 1814-1815. Neill T. McNeill's children are found in the 1850 Census living near Neil B. Brown, Sr.'s family (relatives), the family of Catherine McPherson Brown (widow of Rev. Daniel Brown), and is living adjacent to another Neill McNeill and wife Sarah, of another McNeill family, that of John McNeill of Richland Swamp. An Archibald McNeill and wife Isabella are living a couple doors away as well--and he was Archibald Neill T.'s brother. Neill T.'s marriage to Mary Leach is found in State of North Carolina. An Index to Marriage Bonds Filed in the North Carolina State Archives. Raleigh, NC, USA: North Carolina Division of Archives and History, 1977, bondsman was Duncan Leach who was her father.
